I've been undergoing INTENSIVE therapy and medication to combat major depression for the past year and a half. My therapist put me on Paxil. I couldn't really tell if I was feeling better or not, but I had every side effect in the book -- extremely lethargic/sleepy (16 hours a day sleeping), extreme, quick weight gain, vivid dreams, and it was the first time in my life I felt truly suicidal. I didn't know if it was the depression or the Paxil.
Well, I got off Paxil and switched to Wellbutrin. I've felt really good for about 3 months, but am now feeling depressed again. And nothing scares me worse than depression. I can't face going back on Paxil. I've been on Wellbutrin 3 weeks.
Anyone know anything about this switch? Will Wellbutrin work for me? Am I just feeling a "normal" depression that a "normal" person would feel, or am I falling back into it? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
