In reply to HOW IS REMERON DIFFERENT TO OTHERS, posted by crazychickuk on July 16, 2003, at 10:25:19
ccuk, been on remeron for a few months now. no delusionals (neverhad them), upsetting, depressing or anxiety. it took weeks on my doc's slowly increasing dosage to get the point where the grogginess lifted. I got a little desperate six weeks ago when I was still groggy all the time and had to write a paper for my course in perception. I delayed and then struggled. Didn't think I would do well but I earned the top grade. Despite the groggy feelings, my thinking was OK. grogginess lifted as I got to 45 mg/day.
now at 60 mg/day which is apparently where I will stay. Also ramped up on neurontin even more slowly (helped me sleep and ask for more if you're interested). now also on effexor at 75 mg/day. all seems to be well, and I am pretty sure that the addition of the effexor pulled me out of depression (not something I have ever had much of and nothing intense for nine years--probably cocaine related back then). good luck, phil
