The Tylenol (acetaminophen) you buy over-the-counter at the drugstore does *not* have codeine. There are prescription-only painkillers that contain both Tylenol and codeine (they're known as Tylenol #3, Tylenol #4, etc depending on the amount of codeine in them. #3 has the least.) Did you take anything in cough syrup form? Or have any
prescription medication from your doctor for your illness?I don't know what the rate of false positives is with the hair testing. I have never had to take one of these, but I am quite surprised that they did not ask if you were taking any prescription medications. I thought less of this type of testing was being done nowadays - it's proven to be so cost-inefficient in so many cases.
Good luck, and I hope things work out.
> Tylenol has codeine? I've taken a good amount of that when I was sick a week or two ago. I really doubt they would give a positive drug test answer to a company for tylenol don't you think? Thanks for the answers though, that gives me some hope.
