BENZO for NARDIL REM REBOUND???

Posted by ace on May 5, 2003, at 19:52:22

Would the benzo promote REM, acting against the REM rebound from Nardil?

I think it does.

These dreams are really bugging me, last night for 3 hours I was half asleep but fully dreaming...wierd. Then on wakening the dream feeling is still with me for a few hours...unnerving and not good for derealization.

I start Anafranil Saturday night. It's Tuesday so I still have a few more night s of this. Would it be wise to use Mogadon 'til then?

BTW, once Anafranil starts Bye-Bye REM rebound. That being said Anafranil is not a stronger REM supresser (or eliminater at times) than Nardil. And Unlike MAOIs it's affect on REM suppression are immediate, MAOIs full effects aoccur within two to three weeks.

Give me some thought people. These dreams are costly to my obsessively clean room!....In them I physically move to dart elephants, and stuff like that. My ash tray was all over the floor today! At least my dear mother rang to wake me for uni - and this time I heard the phone. I'm buying an alarm clock on Monday if the Anafranil screws me wround.

Anyhow, I'm feeling less of a watermellon head than yesterday...but I must say Nardil w/drawal has absolutley at time produced manic behaviour. Not to a clincal level but. Just innocous strong highs.

Power to all of you!

Ace.
