children/straterra and remeron

Posted by kc0523 on April 21, 2003, at 21:17:01

My 6 yr old is now on 40 mgs of straterra daily and it has helped him with attention. However, it's also made him very "mouthy" and even more rigid than before. We tried Aderall for two days -- it made him worse. Now, they've put him on remeron (1/2 of a 15 mg. tablet) at night. He was so groggy today (his first day) and had the worst tantrums, which were followed by a huge nap. Can anyone give me some hopeful info here? We are new to the medication game and very concerned parents. Our son likely has some combination of ADHD, depression and/or OCD. We don't care about the diagnosis, just want suggestions and info about what to expect. Thanks to all.
