Since I live abroad, the only form of magnesium I can obtain is magnesium carbonate.
From the graph on the page:
http://coldcure.com/gif/magnesium.jpg
it shows that the intestinal uptake of carbonate form is 34%. Person for whom magnesium worked, gives advice to take 4 doses of 200 mg magnesium glycinate(chelated). Glycinate has 80% of intestinal uptake. So the active dosage is around 160 mg per dose - total 640 mg.
With magnesium carbonate this would mean 600 mg - 4 times a day. Am I correct in my calculations and do you think it could work?
I've been using such doses for past week and I can definitely sense that my mood is elevated. I just want to make sure that I'm receiving enough of a dose. Thanks for the help in advance.
