yes, lithobid is slow release, it is the only lithium I can tolerate. I actually reduced my TCA in half due to being way above the theraputic level for me and added lithium at the same time. I felt better in a few days, but I think it was more due to the lower TCA dose. Give it some time, but I suggest writing down any Side Effects and discussing with your doctor. Sometimes I still get spacey after my lithium dose but not all of the time. Stuff is very quirky in my opinion. take care
