>I don't take any other meds. That's a good a good suggestion, and it's crossed my mind before. I take only 5-10 mg/day IR, so there's not too much of a rebound per se (just some fatigue and fuzziness).
As for elevated heart beat, I notice just a little, but this fee;s more energizing than otherwise (at this low dose; oin contrast, on Adderall was much too uncomfotable, and therefore I cannot tolerate Adderall any more).
I recently had my BP taken in the doc's office, around mid-day, when the dex would have been wearing off from my single morning dose, and my BP was 150/90. I was fairly stressed, and when we took it a little later in the appt, the BP was down to 140/90. I do think this elevation was somewhat related to the rebound reflex effect.
But how does one know if one is really experiencing postural hypotension during the middle of the day, unless one walks around taking one's BP? Sometimes I'll take my BP at the drug store, and it's always between 120-140-ish for SBP.
It actuaally *feels* like it might be psotural hypotension, but on the otherhand, I also often feel liked my BP may be elevated. (and I've become a little concerned that perhaps I should attempt to get off the dex as a consequence!) I do exercise regularly, etc.
How does on handle this? I don't want to take *more* dex, as this cause even more fatigue in the later part of the day.
Also another question: I oftne notice that if I take more dex, I have excessive water retention (which may off course contribute to volume-related BP elevation). Does this make sense to anyone? Supposedly, the dex should be acting like a diuretic. Adderall also caused water retention, but mph does not.
Thanks for your input! I've mentioned to my doc, and have never received much helpful feedback.
