I don't know about the trials thing but I would definitely get a new doctor--your doc says s/he can't do anything more for you because your current med is not working? What is it? How many others have you tried? If a doctor says they cannot do anything more for you, I cant imagine how discouraging that would be. This doc should lose his/her license.
