if tricyclic sedation will pass, when?

I'm struggling along with imipramine. I've been on it for 10 months but we just took a blood level and found out I was way way too low. Now I'm finally in teh therapeutic range and I'm a zombie. I've been at this dose (300) for a month exactly. At 250 I was fine. My doc says give it 6 weeks because I may still adapt. Any tricyclic takers want to advise?
