> I started on Geodon last Friday - 20 mg once a day - by Tuesday evening I was experiencing mild eye dilation early afternoon and evening with blurry vision. Each evening it has increased, happening more in the daylight hours - I can't find any accounts of this but chatted with one person who has been on this one month and is experiencing pupil dilation daily as well, so I'm afraid to continue because I don't think I can live with a publicly visible side effect like that - besides people thinking i'm on acid or something, I work with computers and can't see too well when this happens.

Along with that, my throat and tongue have been increasingly ITCHY the last two nights, neck extremely tight and jaw clenching, and feeling a lot like i'm on the agitated end of a long LSD trip... I'm discontinuing at least until my pdoc calls me.

Hi--I can relate to the pupil dilation/blurry vision thing. I have gotten that "crazy look" on a number of meds including Cogentin, Surmontil, etc. It's really distressing because it makes you feel paranoid when you are talking to people b/c it DOES look like you are either nuts or on street drugs.
I do know that this symptom does sometimes resolve itself after you become adjusted to the new med (you did just start the Goedon), while at other times it continues for the duration of whatever med therapy you are on. Why don't you see if you can tolerate for just one more week to see if it resolves on it's own? What's a week anyway, when you think about it? Also, if you increase your dose it might return and you'll probably have to endure this again for a bit.
Wish I could be of more help--at least you are not the only one who struggles to tolerate that side effect.
