Your message itself sounds anxious and you seem to be expecting the worst. Try to use your CBT skills. If you've had bad experiences with anti-depressants, go extra slow. Xanax is fine as long as you don't take it all day long more than 3 or 4 times a week. It is a very short acting med and you may notice anxiety more when it wears off in in 3 or 4 hours. Neurontin, which isn't addictive, works pretty well for anxiety and is not addictive. You need to take it 3 times a day. I'm curious why you didn't go back to prozac. It never worked for me but if it worked stay with that--- plus it is the only anti-depressant approved for lots of things and comes as a less expensive generic. Lexapro is very new and not many people have experience with it.
