Nardil is the most efficacious medication I've yet tried for SP. Augmented with Klonopin, it has eliminated my SP, completely. However, and this is a big however, the side effects of Nardil have been intolerable: substantial weight gain and sexual dysfunction.
So, the big question is, "Has anyone ever had any success in counteracting Nardil's side effects?"
By the way, I've tried Parnate and various SSRI's, but with limited efficacy. Neurontin wasn't efficacious, and neither was Deprenyl, even at dosages in which is loses its MAO-B selectivity. I haven't tried the GABA-ergic medications, such as Gabatril, but that may be a thought. I have found that Klonopin, for me, causes anterograde amnesia (impairment of short-term memory). Anyway, a very mixed bag in terms of finding, for me, something that works, as well as having tolerable side effects.
Many thanks.
