Everyone is different...you learn what kind of person
you are after you've been on a few meds...I'm like one of
the other posters, if I'm not responding within 3 weeks, it's
usually just not the drug for me. But if you don't really
know which camp you fit into because you haven't been on a lot
of meds, of course it would be logical to wait...UNLESS you're feeling
_worse_ or having unbearable side effects...then I think it's not good
to wait. If you're having a really dangerous, suicidal depression
and it's been 5 weeks of being in that place...then I don't think it's
good to just 'hang on' hoping that a med will work. Move on and try something
else. Some people get ECT if they're in this situation, so they won't have
to be unbearably miserable waiting for their meds to work.
