I have one of the early light boxes. It is quite cumbersome due to its huge size (it's at least 24" x 48") and since I have to keep it in the kitchen, it is definitely miles away from my bed when I need/should use it. When I have used it, I noticed that my mood was helped.. Doing paper work at home in front of that light was definitely more productive.
I was glad to see your comment on the light visor. I have thought about getting one for some time,think I'll skip it.
A dawn simulator is something else I considered.
