Weight gain from Prozac is a long term emergent side effect.

Prozac makes most people lose weight for the first few months...then the go back to their pre-prozac weight...then they begin to gain even more.

The studies that showed Prozac to be effective for weight loss were 6-week trials.

Docs did not believe Prozac caused weight gain at first, then they recognized the pattern of weight gain as a side effect that showed up only after long term use.

Again, klonopin and the benzos are considered weight neutral, while weight gain from Prozac is very commonly reported.

> You are the second person to say that the Prozac was probably the culprit with my weight gain. I always thought that prozac made people LOSE weight. But you really think it's the prozac and not the klonopin?
