> Noelle,
> I have taken Provigil not for ADD, but for Depression and unrelated idiopathic hypersomnia.
> It did not work for me. Current I am working with an extremly experience psychopharmacutecologist(sp), who used to be the head of psychology at a local large unversity here. When I told him I had been on Provigil he laughed! He that it just "really doesn't work for most people". Especially people that have any sort these are my words now; people that have any sort of "mental illness". Honestly I would try a low dose mild amphetamine not only will it control the ADD(amphetamines have a 75% success rate with ADD 50-65%with ADHD) it will also help boost/control the dopamine and norepnephrine in your brain which are also vital contributors to happiness and well being. Seritonin isn't the only chemical that is neccessary altered in depression. This is why MAOI's and Trycyclics for depression work so well for some people because they need the help with not only the seritonin but the other two as well.
> I have begun taking dexedrine. I have always suspected that I may be slightly add. Or possibly Ahhd on account of my temper tantrums that erupt because the mircrowave is working too slow!? No that I am taking the dexedrine mind you it has only been a few days I feel better all around, motivated, in contol, more energy, slighlty hopeful, generally better. Better than I ever have on any SSRI or provigil or any other random antidepressant I have taken.
> Sorry this is so long. I do hope it helps there is a breath of info in here.
