Zoloft: Physiological Reactions

Posted by Pokey on April 9, 2002, at 13:37:52

The first day of taking Zoloft several years ago I noticed physiological reactions within a few hours. I went off the drug and now I am back on it. The first day I had the same reaction as I did several years ago. Most people only experience these reactions after the drug has been in their system for several weeks. My question is: Aside from the usual side effects of diarrhea, nausea, inability to sleep, etc., which occur in the first few weeks of taking Zoloft, has anyone else noticed physiological reactions such as pupil dilation, heightened sensory perception to environmental stimuli, and increased alertness ON THE VERY FIRST DAY of taking Zoloft? Is this a normal reaction or does it tell me something about my brain chemistry that I really should know?
