SSRIs often have side effects in the beginning that disappear or at least go down after the first couple weeks. Nausea and loss of appetite are typical of that...other people experience insomnia, etc. I don't know about the "being quiet" thing... maybe because of the nausea or because you are listening inside of you more to see what is happening with the med?
