Aspergers - Any treatment options? (in UK)

This is for a friend of mine who was diagnosed a year ago with aspergers.
He is a 20 year old Student, in th South of England.
He has been given alot of support by his Uni (bought a pc, found him "safe" accomodation etc) but he hasn;t been given anything about how he can be helped or help himself.
He is reluctant to go to a new GP alone while away from home, and has asked me for help.
Any advice, web sites and experieces would be great.
