5mg of REMERON

I currently take probally 5mg or less of remeron each night to help me sleep. I am on no other anti depressant... cant deal with the side effects. Anyways, I suffer from anxiety/panic disorder and I am just wondering if 5mg of Remeron is effective in any way?? I have the 30mg Soltabs and i just break a piece off of it each night. I recently started a job that I really like... and i didnt like the way i felt on higher doses. When i have anxiety attacks I also take little pieces just to knock me out... I always feel better when i wake up. Im getting insurance in a month or so and when i get to a doctor i will ask him to prescribe me something like Klonopin or Ativan... whatever. Dont know yet but in the meantime... realistically... are there any benefits at all from 5mg of remeron or is the only thing ill get out of it is SLEEP? I love remeron... its the ONLY thing that puts me to sleep at night! **Cynthia**
