imipramine - advice?

Hi,

I'm having problems with feeling tired on Pamelor (nortriptyline) and my doctor recommended a switch to imipramine. She said it's so activating that people have to take it in the am. This contradicts everything I've ever head about imipramine. Any truth to it?
