I was on both for several months, and experienced no increase in anxiety. In fact, it was a good combination for me -- I am only off the Adderall now due to lack of insurance or money. I found that not only was the quality of my daytime wakefulness and concentration much better, but my nighttime anxiety decreased, and my ability to sleep improved as well. I would suggest that you do pay attention to the possibility of developing tolerance with Adderall. Take a look at the message thread above re: "How Much Adderall Do You Take?" -- there are some good ideas presented there on taking occasional "drug holidays" (from stimulants ONLY) to prevent this from happening.
This is my first time writing this forum -- I was looking up some other info, but since I had been on the particular combo you'd asked about, I was inspired!
Perhaps I will write more later re: Effexor. I could write quite a bit -- I was patient #005 (as I remember) in one of the original studies of it in the 1980s for treatment of atypical, retractable, difficult-to-treat depression. This one of the reasons I'd qualify whatever I have to say regarding my reactions to medications -- I definitely qualify as having "atypical, retractable, difficult-to-treat depression". Plus, given the strength of my positive reaction to Adderall this past year, I now believe that I may have been dealing with some degree of ADHD all my life.
Anyway, a long-lasting cold (and lack of Adderall) has me extremely fatigued at the moment, so this is all for now. Hope it's helpful!

I wanted to know if anyone has taking these two medications together, and what the outcome was for them. My doctor said it can cause anxiety, has anyone had this problem?
