I was reading some of the post above concerning Alprazolam made by Mylan labs, and someone indicated that the new Alprazolam pill put out by Mylan labs is a white round pill, and I am assuming a 0.25mg. dosage.
I honestly wouldn't know how to tell the difference between the old pill and the new pill since I have been getting Mylan Alprazolam for a least 15 months now, and at the 0.25 mg. dosage, the pill has been a little a white round pill all along.
The only thing I can say is that around June 1, 2001, I began to feel less benefit from the drug, and starting requiring a higher dosage, but whether or not it had anything to do with a new version of pill, I couldn't say. However, I will say that I have been having trouble with having the anti-anxiety/sedative effects lasting more than a few hours where prior to June 1, 2001, I was able to get by nearly the entire day with just one dose of 0.5mg. Alprazolam, but again I don't have any proof that the purity of the medication is at fault.
Perhaps I can get the pharmacist to give me some of the Mylan pills and some of the Greenstone Labs or Brand name Xanax pills, and I could compare the two, and see how much difference there might be.
