Hi. Im taking Neurontin. Good for you for realizing you cant spend the rest of your life drinking your phobias away!
First off, drugs are well and good but therapy on a regular basis should be included as well.
I had this problem before there were these nice drugs and I had to get over it the old fashioned way. ;-) Of course your mileage may vary.
Acting classes might also be good.I also find that a little bit of Xanax, enough to take the edge of anxiety off but not enough to make you sleepy can work wonders!
Anyway, someone said:
> If you get over 900mg/day you might get too sleepy,
I think that one needs to see how ones own body chemistry reacts and also what times of day are good to take it to counteract this.
For example, when my body got used to it, I can take 900 to 1200 in the am and not feel too sleepy at all, just relaxed. Of course caffiene can help counteract tiredness and by the time it wears off maybe some or all of the initial tiredness from Neurontin will be gone. Or you can take 600mg in the am, then 300 later in the day, then more at night. It all depends.> I started taking medications in order to stop my binge drinking in social situations. I never drank in the morning or by myself but whenever I went to college parties I would have to be drunk to talk to girls. Obviously, I can't be drunk for the rest of my life, so I stopped drinking,
