Hi,
A friend of mine recommended a super low carbohydrate
diet. The food consists mostly ofTUNA
SALMON
CHEESE
CHICKEN
BEEFand Salads, low-carb Vegetables,
and
FRUIT.
The only carbohydrate allowed is two Melba toasts
in the morning, and absolutely NO STARCHES OR SUGAR
allowed, except that from fruit.I did not tell my friend I take lithium,
but now I am worried that this very low carb diet
may produce METABOLIC KETOSIS because I take lithium.Should I add something to this diet? Is it safe
for someone taking lithium? I am not sure how
and if ketosis is dangerous for lithium takers.Thank you.
