The initial appiontment was like $350 dollars (thank god for good insurance) I think and he took about 25 minutes with me! The following appointments are $150 and he spent like 20 minutes with me my last visit. If I'm paying for his knowledge and not his time that's understandable, but it's hard to know if he's knowledgeable when I haven't even spent an hour with the guy yet. My biggest criticism of him is that he doesn't say much and when I pin him down for an opinion he's always non-commital. I would say when I left I felt like all I got was like you said, a script and a pat on the back. I'm considering contacting Julia Temple since I understand she used to work with Dr. Apter.
Good luck,
Jon
