You should be able to wiggle open Effexor XR capsules, revealing the little granules inside. Each grain has been manufactured in an extended release formula, so as long as you don't crush any of them you won't change the way they're absorbed. You'll have to estimate as you taper below 37.5, though, unless you have some good lab equipment. :)
