YES YOu COULD indeed be developing a tolerance to this medication (or any other for that matter) - I DID (after being on it for about 6 years). And realizing it had pooped out on me came a bit late (but better late than never. Then I tapered off it waaaaaaay too fast and got just about every withdrawal symptom in the book.
I would suggest that you tell what you've mentioned here to your pdoc. If your pdoc switches you from Paxil to something else, PLEASE, PLEASE be sure to taper off the Paxil SLOWLY and GRADUALLY. It is known for severe withdrawal and I wouldn't want you or anyone to go through what I did. (at least I did get off it though!)
