Hi T. I think all the problems I have are anxiety driven also. I will nibble on a .5 klonopin all day & have been doing this for al most 2 years. Docs are so paranoid about the addiction thingy. I have tried 2 different mood stabilizers that seemed to have subtle but noticeable effect on my anxiety with little or no side fx. The first was Neurontin. I was taking as much as 3200 mg (4x800) with no problems. The other was Topomax. I don't know if it is specifically listed to relieve anxiety but it sure helped mine. Also it is a bit of an appetite suppressant for most. Some people have complained that the Topomax turned them into cognitive idiots, but since I was already an idiot, I didn't notice this effect. :) What a hassle but maybe a new doc might be more inclined to give you the medicine you need to stay well. Good luck. Take care
