AD'S and Lactose Intolerance

Posted by tina on July 10, 2001, at 15:34:07

Has anyone else noticed that they have "become" lactose intolerant as a result of long-term antidepressant use?
I remember before I started taking AD's that I could drink alot of milk, eat icecream etc without any problems but now, after 12+ years of antidepressants, I can't eat any dairy at all without pain, cramping and irritable bowel problems. Is there a connection, does anyone know??
