Changing from effexor to wellbutrin

i've been taking effexor for about 21/2 months and have been dissapointed by the lack of improvement i feel.I tried prozac for about the same amount of time and didn't feel the improvement was worth the sexual side effects. I'm experiencing the same side effect with effexor. my doc is changing me to wellbutrin but i have been told to just give my body a "wash" for three days then start the wellbutrin. DOes anyone have something that would let me know what to expect from this change?
