Thanks for the heads-up. I don't use Metamucil, but I use FiberChoice three times a day. I take it with my other meds sometimes. I don't know if FiberChoice has the same warning--I'll read the label tonight.

Why do you think Metamucil creates dependence? It's simply a fiber supplement, and it is universally recommended by doctors for chronic constipation.
Constipation is one of my favorite subjects since it is actually overriding my well-controlled bipolar as problemo numero uno for me. So, if anyone else has been diagnosed with IBS-C and wants to shoot the breeze about the effects of psychotropics on C, I'm game. I swear (and my psychiatrist agrees) that Wellbutrin caused my IBS-C.
