> So many negative posts. Help! Any comments...?Hey N.P., I too was initially started on Effexor Xr
for anger management-Road-Rage etc. Although I feel
a general calming from mad-episodes I think the isolated
anger flare ups are much worse. I am also currently taking
Welbutrin daily as well to enhance the effect of Effexor.
As I said in an earlier post I am not happy with the results
and am seeing a new Pdoc to change my treatment.I too am worried about all the neg posts about withdrawal
andlong term effects. Something my gen/prac doc never
mentioned when I started this course of treatment.I mainly now suffer from a bad sleep cycle and loss of
sex drive, which in itself contributes to the flare ups.
Loss of sleep and loss of sex doesn't make you a happy
camper.Just know your not alone, if your married or in a
relationship, you need to deal with it as a couple.
I am fortunate that my partner is very supportive and
realizes alot of the time my reactions are the drugs
or at least are enhanced by them. Somewhere out there
is the right mix of medication it just takes time to
find it.Good luck to you both.
