I am experiencing extreme daytime tiredness and am wondering if anyone has switched from divided dosing to once-per day dosing? If I do this, should I take the whole thing at bedtime or in the morning? I tried taking 225 mg last night and 75 mg yesterday at midday, but I was up all night. I also have hot flashes, chills, mucle twitching, muscle and joint pain, nausea, memory problems (short-term memory only), numbness/ tingling in extremities, recurrent rash, itching, and am eating everything in sight over the last two weeks, after initial weight loss. I've been on Effexor XR now for about 2 1/2-3 months. I feel the dosage needs to be reduced, but am worried about withdrawal symptoms, from what I've seen on this message board. Can anyone advise? P. S. The severe depression is considerably better, as is the anxiety. Thanx for listening, Gail.

Gail-
I was taking Effexor-xr on divided doses and then switched to one dose in the morning because of extreme daytime sleepiness. Switched to the night when
there was no change. The sleepiness wasn't affected but I haven't had trouble sleeping at night. Currently on Adderall to stay awake. I plan to get off
the Effexor but am also worried about withdrawal symptoms.
BTW have you called your pdoc about all those side-effects?
