Effexor Withdrawl: 72nd hour

Posted by Corrine on March 21, 2001, at 17:26:37

I've been on Effexor XR for a year after Paxil abruptly stopped working for me and left me suicidal and hospitalized. My libido is better with Effexor than Paxil but is still not like it was before any meds. I've also been on Depakote for 5 years for Bipolar II disorder.
My main question is about withdrawl from Effexor. Sometimes I have forgotten a dose and get funky "tingly" sensations within 12-24 hrs. Now, I have run out and have been off for 72 hrs. I am nausiated, dizzy, have loose bowels, am nervous, and feel like I operate in the Twilight Zone. I've just refilled so I'm sure I'll be fine in a few days. Has anyone ever felt this horrid? Has anyone ever had such quick withdrawl symptoms (my doc said I'd have "mild flu-like symptoms" but this is whacked)? Thanks!!!!!
