I was on wellbutrin and now i'm one effexor xr

I was on wellbutrin for a 1 year and it wasn't working, I still felt like I could ring someone's neck...the Dr. put me on effexor xr and i've been on that for about a month or so..I still left like I could ring someone's neck,specialy if i miss a day. I have gain weight being on the effexor. When i take it at night I'm up up off an on all night long,and sleep all day.But the Dr. said to take it during the day.So i do and i still feel very tried during the day and at night. Does anyone else feel like that?
