I agree that the best way to lose weight traditionally is to exercise and eat "right" (and, of course, there are added benefits as well) but medications really mess with your metabolism. I, too, gained weight very quickly on Zyprexa and have never completely lost it.

I don't think the Celexa causes any weight gain, but it doesn't cause any loss either. I don't think there's anything wrong with asking to go on a medication that is known to cause weight loss until you're down to your "normal" weight again. I think it's a viable solution and that at least some Dr.'s agree.
