Hi,
I have read that panic and anxiety are treated with long term use of antidepressants (at first combined with a benzodiazepine). Antidepressants cause down regulation of receptors so you will not get the overstimulation.
The benzodiazepines most used for panic are alprazolam and clonazepam.
Sorry I do not have a reference at hand.
> I've been on benzo's and BuSpar is like a placebo and I've tried the herbals and the teas and meditation and I'm still having panic attacks. In fact, even more than I used to have. I can't stand this anymore. I'm going to become a hermit if I don't find something that works soon. Please help, anyone. Is there anything new out there in the works?? I'm really losing it!
