Everyone appears to react differently. My experience has been mostly positive altho I did go off it for a brief time after I had not been on it for very long because I didn't like the side effects. Some people complain of agitation or maybe dizzyness. I have felt some of this each time I've increased my dosage, even if increased in small increments, but these side effects have gone away after maybe several days. In the beginning I had some constipation and GI distress, but fortunatately, this too disappeared. I believe the best route to go, if you're not in critical shape, is to start fairly low and increase very gradually giving yourself a chance to "acclimate" before increasing again. I've read alot of posts on this board about restlessness or sleeplessness. I take something else at night to counter the latter. I do feel unduly restless sometimes, but I don't know if it's the drug or circumstances. If its really bad, I've been able to counter it with very small amounts of xanax. The biggest positive for me with WB if that it really has made a difference in my life over a gradual period of time and I really don't feel medicated. It's a very unobtrusive drug for me. It does not totally insulate me from depressive episodes, and there are times when I've considered adding something else into the mix, but I tolerate it so well that I can't see abandoning it altogether. Side effects are a real big deal with me and have chased me away from many other ADs. A side benefit of WB is that I also have lost about 25 lbs over a year or so. It didn't happen right away and maybe didn't happen at all until I got up to a certain dosage. Even when everything else is going to hell in a hand basket, at least I don't have to obsess about my weight. Good luck. ksvt
