Meridia and Serzone

I have been taking Serzone for about 3 years and for the past 6-9 months have had an insatiable appetite.
I have a new prescription to Meridia, but feel anxious about taking it after reading about Serotonin Syndrome.
Will taking Serzone and Meridia concurrently be tolerable? My doctors are obviously undereducated and I found nothing regarding those two drugs specifically.
