In reply to zyprexa too sedating, what about seroquel?, posted by Andre Allard on August 2, 2000, at 18:30:18
I think you're on the right track by taking Zyprexa hours before you go to bed. Instead of 3 hours before bed, try taking it as early as you can. I take 5 mg of Zyprexa about 6-7 hours before I go to bed and no longer have any hangover problems, plus I sleep great now. If you'd told me when I first began taking Zyprexa at 2.5 mg that I'd one day be able to take 5 mg of it 7 hours before I went to bed, I wouldn't have believed you. At the beginning, I felt so drugged that I didn't want to continue taking it. I'm glad I stuck it out because it's been very helpful for me.
> I am taking 2.5mg of zyprexa for rumination on top of zoloft. The problem is that the zyprexa carries over into the next day and I am a zombie. I take the zyprexa roughly three hours before bed.
