alicefranklin I'm so sorry about your brother. I'm glad he didn't succeed. I'm glad your mom is getting treated. Even though everyone seems to agree that depression is a biological problem, very few doctors seem to put much energy into looking for any biological cause apart from the elusive "chemical imbalance". I wish there were Psychointernists as well as psychopharmacologists. Take care of yourself.

PS Let me know if you remember. Thanks ;o)
> Yes, yes, yes. Not me but my mother, diagnosed just last week, by her neurologist, of all people. And they had been giving her ECT every week instead of the former every 3 weeks, because of all the s--t the Lyme was doing to her. She's on antibiotics, and it seems to be having a rapid effect. (Still getting ECT tomorrow, however.)
> Yes, her depression/TERROR was worse, and yes, everybody just thought she needed more shocks to the brain. And while I'm at it---today while I was busy registering here, and worrying about my email being public, my beloved brother, a thousand miles away from me, was trying to kill himself. He didn't succeed. Ain't life grand.
