> Is anyone still taking Provigil? I was taking 100 mg. 2 x a day and was feeling great for a few weeks. Now, not only do I not have the great feeling I did, I actually feel worse. Maybe I should go back to 200 mg. 1 x a day? How much is anyone taking if they are taking provigil? Thanks, elise
Sorry to hear things have deteriorated for you Elise. Perhaps Modafinil will turn out to be like many of the other more common stimulants, where higher and higher doses are needed over time.
In Europe Provigil's ancestor Adrafinil is much more preferred for treating depression. It is a lot cheaper, and it doesn't have a reputation for developing tolerance requiring higher and higher doses over time. It does not have a reputation for poop-out. Unlike some overseas mailorder meds, it is cheap and easy to get. No prescription required. Though it is similar to Provigil (Provigil is actually a close cousin derived from it), it is different enough that it has a reputation for being preferred over Provigil in treating depression in Europe. You might consider the switch. Your wallet would appreciate it too.
