> As an ex raver, (was huge in the UK in my teens) it's the "speed" that causes jaw clenching / teeth grinding. And most exctasy is cut with some sort of speed. The pacifiers do help the ginding, and thus cutting up of cheeks, but never really stopped the clenching!!

> NikkiAs an old 60's hippie, I feel like a geezer now...and feel like warning people about the dangers of ecstasy (I've read that it causes permanent changes in serotonergic synapses). As someone who doesn't like "speed" in any form, I've never tried ecstasy and don't understand the attraction to it (always liked psychedelics myself, in the past). If you get the side effects you mention, I'd steer clear from ecstasy and ask your pdoc about things to remedy the depression (even now, when I think about going back to "illicit" psychedelics, which I would never do, it's usually when I feel empty and depressed). BTW, I'm not DEA or really conservative, even though I'm now a geezer!
