I am going to read Dr. Jensen's book, but in case you (also) need a local recommendation, I saw a Pdoc by the name of Tom Fogarty in Fairfax, for several years prior to moving to the Chicago area.
He's excellent. He practices psychiatry full time, but he is also a board-certified internist, which I found a very helpful combination since I have a chronic physical illness.

It's nice of you to do some checking for your friend. He's lucky to have you.
