Alan--
I was on 60 mg celexa in the morning, but just cut that down to 40 since I had no motivation to do anything, but was in a good mood.I'm taking 25 mg seroquel at night--I don't know if that's enough to have antipsychotic benefits (it's only been a few weeks and I only sporadically have reality issues), but that's what it's primarily there for. the help sleeping is a convenient side effect, which means that I don't have to take anything else (I took trazodone for a few days, but it left me really zonked all morning). It always takes me 1/2 hour to an hour or more to fall asleep, and the seroquel doesn't seem to change that. The problem I was having was waking up at 3 am and not getting much sleep after then. I was on 3 mg risperdal, but had side effect issues with it and had to stop taking it.
sexual side effects aren't an issue for me--I never had much of a sex drive in my non-medicated state, and there aren't any dating opportunities where I live now. so not having any desire for relationship/whatever is actually a benefit (at least right now....)
I don't have any anxiety (except when I took prozac, but that's another story...). My problem is depression and, well, I don't know if I'd be technically psychotic, but periodically losing touch with what everyone else would consider reality. It'd probably be somewhat acceptable as a religious experience in a non-Judeo-Christian society if the experiences didn't make me suicidal. but that's a whole other story, too.

> You mentioned seroquel for sleep at night. My pdoc wants to try seroquel alone instead of celexa but your post intrigues me...maybe to augment as you are doing.
