Hello Noa & Everyone,
I hope I am not being pushy to address you like this, but I know you are currently getting your thyroid treated and have been doing research on this. Since I am a rapid cycler with a family history of thyroid problems, I believe if I don't have a problem now, I'm most certainly vunerable to these problems.
My questions are:
Are the symptoms of a hypothyroid different from depression?
I am slim, would this exclude me from having thyroid problems?
I asked my gp for a testing. She opened the book, read something, then said I could have one in 6 months. If I suspect I have thyroid problem, do you think I should wait this long?
When I do get one, would it take a specialist to interpret the results? Could the test read normal, while I could still have a thyroid problem?
Noa, I've been reading your postings and your search for a pdoc sounds frustrating. I'm not sure I like the sounds of either of them. oh Noa, but spending your own money? Are there any other pdocs in the neighbourhood who would take your insurance? Always hoping the best for you, Janice
