> Alan- I am bipolar w/OCD...and have had anxiety/panic attacks in past. Seroquel was given to me after I was feeling "paranoid" during a manic/mixed phase that put me in the hospital. I am on all ssri's you can think of...neurontin, depakote, luvox, zoloft, in addtion to klonopin. The seroquel, for me, has curbed "racing thoughts" about friends, family, etc...it somewhat "mellows me out" without stupefying me. I think it has been a lifesaver...my spells of depression are anywhere from momentary to at most, lasting a few days. It helps me "keep on truckin"...Stay with it. Taking it doesn't mean you're "psychotic"...Gesundheit!

Thanks Jeffery,Do I read you right - that you have gone through all of those other medications and have settled on Seroquel - or are you taking something else with Seroquel to help you become less depressed/anxious. My symptoms do include an OCD style by the way.
What did it feel like to start - any side effects that you remember? I understand what you mean about the anti psychotics......my pdoc had to talk persuasively to get me to think about taking it!
