Cam, wellbutrin for biplar???

Posted by Amanda S on April 2, 2000, at 9:35:11

Cam, I am really upset about the lack of concern from my therapist and psychiatrist. I have told both of them I didn't want to take lamictal because of my hair falling out. By the way I have had everything checked (hormones, thyroid,etc..) by an endocrinologist ( expensive testing) labs were $800.00. I know the lamictal is the culprit. My therapist has said that I need to keep taking it because I need to abide by their treatment or I need to find other doctors. Not sure what the psychiatrist is going to say. I have had it with all this medication. I do want to be level and happy. I tried wellbutrin at one time. Seemed to work. Can it be used for bi-polar and is it in the same class as all of the anti-convulsants??? How about serzone?? I tried it but it gave me bad headaches but lamictal did in the beginning. Please need your help. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have this web site to go to. I get so much off my chest. Thanks once again. Amanda
